Donald W. Zimmer, 85, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2024, at Care & Rehab – Ladysmith.

Don is survived by his sons, Christopher (Linda) Zimmer of Glen Flora, WI, Dirk (Lori) Zimmer of Racine, WI, Geoffrey (Kim Cummings) Zimmer of Ladysmith, WI; grandchildren, Nicole (Elias) Pacheco, Cassie (Abraham) Cruz, Victoria, Elizabeth (Nicholas) Raymond, Katie, Christine and Kelli Zimmer (Tony); 6 great-grandchildren; his sister, Darlene McFarland, MN; sisters-in-law, Marla Zimmer, Glen Flora, WI, and Mary Margaret (Zachary) Schulz of Racine, WI, brothers-in-law, Daniel DeRidder of Florida and David DeRidder, Indiana; special nieces, Sarah (Marcel) Kielkucki of Manchester, IA, Jessica Schulz of Racine, WI; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

On July 9, 1966, he married Evelyn DeRidder, who preceded him in death on March 29, 2008.

In addition to his wife, Evelyn and his parents, William & Marie (Beckett) Zimmer, Don was preceded in death by his son, Luke.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Tony, WI with Deacon Craig Voldberg officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM on Saturday at the church. Military honors will be held at the church immediately following the service and will be provided by the Rusk County Honor Guard. Private burial will be at a later date in Ingram Cemetery.
