Donald Osborn, age 85, a resident of Spooner, WI, died on Sunday, September 11, 2022, at Meadowbrook Senior Living in Chetek, WI.

Donald was born on January 6, 1937, in Spooner to his parents William and Frances “Mae” (Grant) Osborn.

After school, he worked as a farm hand until moving to Kenosha in his early 20s, where he owned his own landscaping business and worked at American Motors Company. While living in Kenosha, he was united in marriage to Emogene “Jean” Reece. The family moved to Spooner in 1989, where Donald would work for Indianhead Action Agency for several years before retirement. Donald enjoyed hobby farming and the animals he had on his farm during his retirement.

Donald is survived by his sons: Travis (Amy Naastad) Osborn of Almena, WI, and Delburt (Christina) Reece of Rice Lake, WI; five grandchildren: Brittany, Melissa, Jonathen, Addison, and Bethany; great-grandson Jaxon; sister Beverly Schaefer of Spring Valley, WI; sister-in-law Edith Osborn of Balsam Lake, WI; and many nieces and nephews.

Donald is preceded in death by his wife, Jean; parents, William and Mae; brother, William Osborn Jr.; and sister, Ruby Gunther.

At Donald’s request, no services are planned at this time.
