Donald “Sam” F. Worley Age 40 of Rice Lake, WI, died Saturday, November 11, 2023 at his home.

He was born on June 25, 1983 in Chicago, Illinois to Donald and Mary (Durinski) Worley.

Don graduated from Spooner High School and he was married to Stephanie Reynolds on October 6, 2012 in Dobie, WI. His wedding was the best day of his life. Don worked as manager for many years at Cumberland Ace Hardware and Lumber. Mike the owner and his co-workers and his personal friends were considered family to Don. He loved his wife, his dogs, Annie and Buster; baseball, football, golf, boating and vacationing with his wife in Dauphin Island, Alabama watching the ocean, sunrises and sunsets. He also enjoyed barbecuing, smoking his food with his wife and having friends and family over to enjoy his dishes. Don had a bigger than life personality, funny, witty and so much love to those that were around him! Don and his wife were planning to retire near the ocean and warm temperatures to enjoy the rest of their lives there.

He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Worley; his father, Donald Worley; his mother, Mary Mistarz; 3 sisters, Krista (Colin) Housley, Chrysta (Brandon) VanGuilder and Kayla Worley; father-in-law, Craig Reynolds; mother-in-law, Kathy Rutherford; grandmother-in-law, Carole Reynolds; a nephew, Aydin VanGuilder; many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

A celebration of his life will be held in Cumberland, WI at a later date.

Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, WI is assisting and serving the family with the arrangements.
