In Memory of Don J. Greeley
Don James Greeley, 68, of Balsam Lake passed away peacefully on December 11, 2024, with family by his side. He was born January 2, 1956, to John and Nora Greeley in St. Paul, MN. Don was married on January 2, 1975, to Cynthia Anhorn in St. Paul, MN. Don’s true love in life was his wife, Cindie; every moment spent together with her was treasured.
Don was a diligent worker and always ensured that he provided for his family. He helped raise his four children and lots of bonus children. Don loved his family deeply and made it clear in how he helped prepare them for their futures. He graciously allowed his children to “borrow” his many pieces of equipment and tools. Don’s life experiences helped him help others and keep his children honest.
He enjoyed camping, hiking, and maintaining his hobby farms. Don made everyone around him laugh, and made new friends wherever he went. Don’s home away from home was Menards; he was truly a jack of all trades. He was able to fix just about anything and could help diagnose car troubles based solely on the sound it made.
Don is survived by his wife, Cindie Greeley; children: Steven Greeley, Julie (Rob) Swanson, John Greeley, and Jean (Josh) Neuman; many loved grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings: David Greeley, Donna Haataja, Dale Greeley, Roxie Greeley, Dorene Eason, and Darlene Haataja; nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Doug Greeley; grandson, Tyler Greeley; aunt, Florence Kerr (Grandma); and daughter-in-law, LeAnn Greeley.
