Dolores V. Waterhouse, 95, of Chetek, Wisconsin passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at the Meadow Brook of Chetek. 

Dolores Tweed was born on December 5, 1925 the daughter of Ole and Nellie Tweed in Sand Creek. She married Wayne Waterhouse of Colfax in 1947 and they had 5 boys together.

Dolores briefly lived in Minneapolis before she married Wayne Waterhouse. As she raised her family of 5 boys in the Chetek area, she held several jobs as a telephone switchboard operator and an administrative assistant, but her main job was raising her family (5 boys is no easy feat!).  Meanwhile her husband Wayne started the Rod and Gun Shop in Chetek and the Northern Bait company.

Dolores is survived by her sister, Bernice, of Eau Claire, Son Thomas of Chetek, son Brian (Cory) of Bloomington, MN, son Michael of Chetek and son Mark of Chetek.  Dolores has 8 grandchildren, Alex and Megan, Luke and Lindsey, Shane and Jenna, Elliot and Echoe, 5 great grandchildren and three more great grandchildren that will be arriving over the next 2 months.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ole and Nellie, brother Leroy Tweed, brother Douglas Tweed, sister Lillian Tweed, son Gary Waterhouse, granddaughter Joee Gohs and her cousin and best friend Lorraine Meakins of San Francisco California. 

Funeral services were held in Sand Creek on Saturday, July 3rd at Our Savior’s Cemetery in Sand Creek.
