Dick Scheurer Age 78, of Mounds View, MN formerly of Rice Lake, WI died February 13, 2018 of acute respiratory failure.

Dick was born on January 7, 1940 to Duke and Sylvia Scheurer. He worked at and owned Dukes Grocery in Rice Lake and moved to Minnesota in 1982 to work at Cub Foods in Blaine till he retired in 2003. He and his wife traveled all over the country for 13 years in their motorhome and made many friends in their travels, but there are no friends like old friends.

He is survived by his wife and best friend, Carol Scheurer of Mounds View, MN; 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Rick (Pilar) Scheurer of Liberal, KS and his 2 daughters, Kayla (Blake) Larrabee and Megan (Christian) Ramiraz and great granddaughter, Henleigh and four step children, Pepe, Mayte, Jorge & Jesus; Tom Scheurer and his children Amanda & Jacob of Minneapolis; and Daniel (Cheryl) Scheurer and daughters Cherydan & Hailey of Denver, CO; 3 Goddaughters, Stacy Amans Dale, Darci Larson Krueger and Lisa Greene Groehler; many nephews, nieces, loving in-laws and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Duke & Sylvia Scheurer; 2 brothers, Dave (Sue) Scheurer and Brad Scheurer; and a sister Val (Gene) Larson.

It’s been one long year since you left us here on earth. We miss you every day but know you’re at peace. We have the wonderful memories of your kind, loving and caring heart. I’m sure you asked the Lord about seeing only one pair of footprints in the sand at times and the Lord said “That’s when I carried you”.
