Diane Camille Strickland, 93, of Rice Lake died on July 22, 2023, at Woodstone Assisted Living.

She was born July 7, 1930, in Cumberland, WI to Robert and Louise (Ross) Berg. Diane was raised in Cumberland and graduated from Cumberland High School.

After graduation, she moved to Minneapolis to continue her education as a beautician. She moved back to Cumberland after one year of schooling when her mother became ill. Diane then worked as a waitress at the Coffee Cup Café. She was hired at 3M in 1956 and made her career there for 32 years; retiring in December of 1988.

Diane married Francis Jerry on June 1, 1952; they had three children: Scott, Michelle, and Jack. Years later they divorced. On June 30, 1978, Diane married Jack Strickland.

Diane grew up watching her dad play baseball and later became an avid Brewer fan. After retirement, Jack and Diane moved to their winter home in Florida. After several years, they moved back to Cumberland to be closer to family. Then, following Jack's death, Diane moved to Woodstone Assisted Living in September 2018.

She is survived by three children, Scott (Heather) Jerrie of Wheeler, Michelle (Tim) Lystrom of St. Croix Falls, and Jack (Jane) Jerry of Chippewa Falls; eight stepchildren: Debra (Arnie Hokanson) Strickland of Spooner, Jeff (Donna) Strickland of Cumberland, Dean (Kelly) Strickland of Anoka, MN, Scott (Dawn) Strickland of Cameron, Alan (LorRae) Strickland of Blaine, MN, PD Strickland of Cumberland, Troy (Ashley) Strickland of Steamboat Springs, CO, and Kim Jilek of Haugen; 26 grandchildren; and 33 great grandchildren. Diane was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Louise Berg, and husband, Jack Strickland.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at Augustana Lutheran Church, Cumberland, WI with Pastor Shane Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Cumberland, WI. Visitation will be from 10 - 11 AM.
