In Memory of Derek W. Lombard
Derek William Lombard "Bo" age 40 of Rice Lake, unexpectedly gained his angel wings on Tuesday, December 17, 2024. He was born on January 29, 1984, in Saint Paul, MN to parents, beloved mother Mary Stoll of Rice Lake, and William "Willy" (Victoria) Lombard of Sarona.
He was preceded in death by beloved grandparents, Frank "Bill" and Dorothy Lombard of Barronett, as well as his hero-in-life grandfather Glenn Stoll of Cumberland.
He is survived by his parents; his loving grandmother, Harmony Stoll of Cumberland; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins on both sides of the family; an abundance of friends; and his special cousin/bro, Ryan Guanzon of Riverside, CA.
Derek attended Cumberland Schools and graduated from Spooner High School in 2002. He then earned a college degree in construction management from Ashford University and worked as a Union Roofer in Ohio.
His interests were many; among them the great outdoors, swimming, ice hockey, snowmobiling, fishing, nature, animals, four-wheeling, fast cars, and talking to people. Derek had the gift of gab, which he most definitely got from his Grandpa Stoll. He loved to give back and showed that to a greater degree in the most recent months. He wore his heart on his sleeve as everyone that knew him well knew. Derek was a true believer in Jesus and spiritually driven by higher power energy. Derek will be missed by many. Fly high Derek, until we are reunited again.
A Celebrations of Life will be held in the spring in both Cumberland and Sarona for all friends and family who want to attend.
