Dennis Ray Dixon Age 75, of Rice Lake, WI, died Thursday, February 22, 2024 in Rice Lake.

He was born on October 27, 1948 in Clinton, Iowa to Faye and Julia (Hitchcock) Dixon.

Dennis entered the United States Navy and served during the Vietnam Era and was later Honorably Discharged. He was married to Jean Matton on July 16, 1994 in Barron, WI. Dennis worked for Seneca Foods in Cumberland, Jennie O in Barron, and St. Croix Casino in Turtle Lake. Dennis enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading and watching Western Movies and playing cribbage and Sorry.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Dixon; his cat, Oreo; a son, Donald Dixon; 2 brothers-in-law, Henry (Rose) Matton and Harold (Cindy) Matton Jr.; 2 nephews, Tony (Maryah) Matton and Chris (Jenna) Matton; 2 nieces, Lisa (Ron) Yeager and Michelle (John) Mills; 2 great nephews, Jaxton Matton and Bentley Matton; a great niece, Nora Matton; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Faye and Julia Dixon; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harold Sr. and Shelvy Matton; and a brother, Roger Dixon.

A visitation will begin held from 11AM-1PM on Friday, March 1, 2024 at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, with interment in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, WI at 2PM.
