Dennis Don Corty, age 67, Grantsburg, WI, passed away on August 26, 2023, with his family at his side.

Dennis was born in Grantsburg, on May 2, 1956, to parents Donald and Merna (Glaubitz) Corty.

Dennis married his true love, Lana Marek on July 31, 1974 in Grantsburg where they continued to reside and raise their two children, Shaun and Darla.

Dennis dedicated 41 years of his life to Burnett Dairy, holding different positions, retiring as fieldman where he thoroughly enjoyed meeting with the farmers.

Dennis also enjoyed farming, planting, and harvesting crops himself. He loved the outdoors including hunting with family and lifelong friends, fishing, cutting wood, feeding the birds and rock picking. Dennis was a member of the Grantsburg Rod & Gun Club and was an avid trap shooter for several years. He has many 25 straight patches to show his success in the sport. He was a diehard Packer fan and spent his Sundays watching football. Dennis and Lana took several road trips on his Harley Davidson, sightseeing and enjoying the time together. After retirement Dennis enjoyed morning coffee with the guys in town, visiting with friends, and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Darlene (Gary), Kat (Bob); parents-in-law, Rudy and Ardyce; sister-in-law, Jane; brother-in-law, Rudy.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 49 years, Lana; children, Shaun (Nikki) and Darla (Alex); grandchildren, Jeret, Dakota (Taylor), Cooper, Kimber and Brynnlee; great grandson, Lincoln; brothers Roger and David; sisters Jean (Jim) and Joan (Pete); along with other relatives and many friends.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023 at 11:00 AM (visitation from 9-11 AM) at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home in Grantsburg, WI.
