In Memory of Dennis Badzinski


May 28, 1944 - December 4, 2020

Dennis F. Badzinski of Chetek, Wisconsin passed away December 4, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer. Dennis was born May 28, 1944 in Thorp, Wisconsin to Alex and Lucille Badzinski. Upon graduation from Thorp High school he entered the US Navy serving his country for twenty four years. He retired in Orlando, Florida as a decorated Senior Chief Torpedoman and grateful patriot. Dennis continued to serve his country for another twenty five years with Defense Contract Management Agency at Lockheed Martin Orlando, Florida retiring in 2012 as a Program Manager.

Dennis was a beloved Husband and Father always putting family first. He was an avid hunter, skeet and trap shooter and fisherman. He ran numerous fishing tournaments in the Orlando area. Dennis was a member of the Blue Hills Sportsman Club in Rice Lake, Wisconsin and the Imperial Polk Gun Club in Winter Haven, Florida. He loved good food and the company he shared it with.

Dennis was a gentle soul and will be greatly missed by his wife Judy who loved him dearly, his son Brent Badzinski and wife Debbie, Glen St Mary, Florida, sisters Dianne Wallenstein and Lyndon Blanchard, Chetek, Wisconsin, Denise Lee and husband Merlin of Omaha, Nebraska, brother Duane Badzinski and wife Judy of Chippewa Falls Wisconsin. Two step Grandsons Riley and Reed Swider of Melbourne, Florida. Several nieces and nephews who he adored, and his much loved fur baby Tessa Marie. He is also survived by his “families” in Virginia, Tennessee and Florida.

A special thank you to the Marshfield oncology group and Dr. Kareem Abdelhadi Rice Lake, Wisconsin for the compassionate care shown to Dennis for the last five years. Thank you to the Marshfield hospice group who helped Dennis through his final journey of life.

Memorial services to be held in Wisconsin and Florida at a later date.

The Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home of Chetek has been entrusted with arrangements.
