In Memory of Delores Hill

April 27, 1946 - April 7, 2021

In Loving Memory Delores “Dee” Fay Hill Age 74, of Rice Lake, WI, formerly of Spirit Lake, Iowa, died Wednesday, April 7, 2021.

She was born on April 27, 1946 in San Diego, California to John and Doris (Gollnick) Meyer.

Dee graduated from High School in Satanta, Kansas in 1964 and then attended Dodge City Community College for Art and also took certification classes South Central College in Iowa. She worked in the advertising department for different newspapers, for most of her career and also cleaned homes for several families. The one thing we will all remember is her love of gardening. Every chance she got she was in her garden taking care of her flowers, her amazing hybrid irises were her pride and joy. We moved them to Wisconsin so she could continue to enjoy them. Next to her flowers was her love for her dogs! Pepper and Lucy were her true loves! Mom was a very strong woman, independent and stubborn. She loved her family and any time she got with them. One of her great joys was the time she got with her grandkids and getting to be a great grandmother.

She is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Jason and Tami Hill of Exeland, Wi, their children: Jesse (Jodi) Hill, Natasha Hill, Dominic Hill, and step children: Brianna, Mikyla, Dylan Christian; Erin and Jodi Hill of Maxwell, Ia, daughter, Isabelle; 4 great grandchildren, Charli Hill (Jesse and Jodi), Oliver and Greyson Hill (Dominic) and Bennett Christian (Mikyla). 2 sisters, Madonna Lies of Santana Kansas and Loretta (Jim) Cecil of Dodge City Kansas; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Doris (June) Meyer.

A celebration of her life will be held at Lincoln Park in Fairmont, Mn on Saturday, May 22, 2021 from 2-5PM. We’re also doing Facebook live through Dee and Jason’s account for those who cannot travel or Covid Safety. We’ll have sandwiches and snacks. Looking forward to hearing all the fun Dee memories everyone has to share.
