Delores Dorothy Kuhl, 95, of Turtle Lake went home to be with the Lord on April 9, 2025, at Care and Rehab-Cumberland. She was born September 17, 1929, at home in Barron County WI to George and Ruth (Kleinschmidt) Schaffer. Delores was baptized at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Almena. She grew up working on the farm and attended and graduated from Turtle Lake High School.

Delores worked a number of jobs too vast to name. She was a very active church member at West Akers Lutheran and served as the President of the Ladies' Aid for many years. In her free time, Delores enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing, and quilting. She made and gifted numerous blankets to her family for almost every occasion. She also delighted in opportunities to travel. Most of all, Delores cherished her time being a mom, grandma, great grandma, and great great grandma.

She is survived by children: Judy Scherff, Kathy (Larry) Gowin, Richard (JoAnn) Sellent, Diane (Lyle) Lauritsen, Tim (Diane) Kuhl, and Michelle Halverson; daughters-in-law: Roxy Kuhl and Gail Kuhl; son-in-law, Lyle Kaehler; numerous grand and great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren; sisters: Alice Holliday and Janice (David) Cardinel; and many nieces, nephews, and other family. Delores was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ruth Schaffer; her husbands: Walter Sellent and Wayne Kuhl; stepchildren: Debra Kaehler, Charles Kuhl, and Thomas Kuhl; grandchildren: Melissa Sellent, Sierra Kuhl, and Jason Singerhause; and son-in-law, Allan Scherff.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at West Akers Lutheran Church located at E1795 1440th Ave in Prairie Farm with Pastor Mark A Woeltge officiating. Burial will be in St. Matthew Cemetery in Almena. Pallbearers are Travis Sellent, Jordan Sellent, Jeremy Gowin, Michael Scherff, Aaron Scherff, and Byran Kuhl. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Skinner Funeral Home in Turtle Lake and one hour before the service.
