Deanna Dawn Woodford, 68, passed away peacefully at her home in Barron on Friday, March 17, 2023.

Dee had had been under the professional care and love of Northern Neighbors Home Care Services for the past 16 months.

Deede was born in Eau Claire, and graduated from North High School. In 1979, she joined the US Navy, and completed training for x-ray technician at the Naval School of Health Science in San Diego, California. After her service in the Navy, she worked as a mammographer for Shared Medical Technology, and MCHS for many years, retiring in 2016.

Dee is survived by her mother, Phyllis Woodford; sisters, Susan (John) Kai, and Becky (Dennis) Koontz all of Eau Claire; 5 nieces and nephews; 7 great-nieces and nephews, and many cousins.

She is preceded in death by her father, Lyle Woodford.

The family would especially like to thank Dee’s friend, Austin Pacholke of Northern Neighbors.

There will be a private family memorial at a later date.

Arrangements are being handled by Rausch and Steel Funeral Home in Barron.
