Dean Allen Ekblad Age 60, of Rice Lake, WI, died Saturday, September 9, 2023 in Rice Lake surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born on February 8, 1963 in Minneapolis, MN to Phyllis Pockrandt. Dean graduated from Rice Lake High School in 1981.

He became a Master Carpenter following in his grandfather and fathers footsteps. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan, loved playing pool with all of his family members.

He is survived by his wife, Jodi Ekblad; dad and step mom, Leon and Cindy Ekblad; 4 children, Austin Dziczkowski (Jolie Aberle), Sarah Davis, Brandon Davis (Abby Braun) and Christopher Ekblad; 4 grandchildren; 5 siblings, Barry Pockrandt, Ron (Robin) Ekblad, Nancy (Mark) Drost, Curt (Dana) Rowe and Kristi (Eric) Anderson; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Novak; grandparents, LeRoy and Clara Ekblad & Gerald and Marjorie Pockrandt.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at The Rut on Long Lake, WI from 1-5PM. Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake is serving the family with the arrangements.
