David “Zip” Willard Klugow, 80, of Almena passed away Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Cumberland Healthcare.

He was born September 21, 1942 in Amery, WI to Willard and Thelma (Espeseth) Klugow.

Zip graduated from Turtle Lake High School in the class of 1961. On August 27, 1966 he was married at West Akers in rural Prairie Farm to Ann Crosby.

For many years he worked with his brother Bill doing carpentry, and also spent some time building bridges in the cities. Zip was happiest while hunting, fishing, or working on things in the garage.

Zip is survived by his loving wife, of 56 years, Ann; sons, Kevin, (Kirsten), Tom (Rose) and Jeff Klugow; grandchildren, Kayla, Karen, Tiah, Cole, Will, John, Carter, Kooper and Matthew; great-grandchildren, Libby, Zeb and JJ; and sister, Charee (Rick) McLaren.

He was preceded in death by parents, Willard and Thelma Klugow; and brother, William “Bill” Klugow.

Funeral services will be held at 5 PM on Sunday June 25, 2023 at Skinner Funeral Home Turtle Lake with Pastor Jason Buck officiating. Visitation two hours prior. Honorary pallbearers are Jason Klugow, Ray Nykanen, Mike Espeseth, Jim Espeseth, Jake Espeseth, Bruce Maxon and Curt Luke.
