In Memory of David Miller


June 9, 1940 - March 16, 2022

David Miller, age 81, a resident of Stone Lake, died at his home on Wednesday, March 16, 2022.

David was born on June 9, 1940, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, to parents Harry and Katherine (Hencke) Miller.

He grew up and attended school in Oshkosh.  After school, he worked various jobs before becoming an apprentice Mason with Ben D. Ganther in Oshkosh. After becoming a Mason, he worked for CR Meyer and several other companies throughout the Valley through the Union. David moved to Stone Lake in 1991 and continued to work as a Mason until retiring in 1997. David loved hunting deer and bear, fishing, woodworking, and enjoying the great outdoors. He also liked to travel, having been to Hawaii, Alaska, many national and state parks, New England, and Revolutionary and Civil War locations.

David is survived by his wife Toni of Stone Lake; son David Paul Miller of Oshkosh; and his grandson, Theodore Miller, of Florida.

David is preceded in death by his parents, first wife Margaret “Maggie”, and brothers Marvin and Gordon.

A memorial service for David will be held on Friday, March 25, at 11:00 a.m., at the First Lutheran Church in Stone Lake with Pastor Ed Anderson officiating.

A gathering of friends and family will be at the church on Friday from 10:00-11:00 a.m.

Music will be provided by organist Tamara Smith.

Interment will be at a later date at the Lakeview Cemetery in Oshkosh.
