In Memory of David J. Weber
David John Weber was born on October 26, 1932 near Dicky, North Dakota the son of Wilferd and Berniece (Robertson) Weber. He was the oldest of seven children. David grew up on a North Dakota grain and dairy farm. He attended a one room grade school and graduated from LaMoure High School in North Dakota.
On November 1, 1951 David married JoAnn Nygaard. They moved to the farm his great grandfather Robertson had homesteaded. David was blessed with three children: Joel, Mary and Patrick. In 1952 his family moved to Clayton, Wisconsin. In Wisconsin David worked in construction, dairy farming, and worked as a dryer man in a milk plant. He was also a commercial Beekeeper for many years both in Wisconsin and North Dakota. He was an active member of the Polk and Wisconsin Beekeepers Associations for many years. In 1988 David and JoAnn divorced.
On June 1, 1991 David was united in marriage to Beverly Kroeze-Beyer. They spent 28 years together before Beverly’s death on August 7, 2019. David had lived in Clayton since moving there, but moved to Golden Age Manor in Amery on February 13, 2021 after having suffered a stroke. David passed away at Golden Age Manor on Thursday July 4, 2024 at the age of 91.
He was preceded in death by his parents Wilferd and Berniece Weber, wife Beverly Weber, sons: Joel and Pat Weber, sisters Beverly Novak and Bethel Weber, brother Denise Weber, and grandson Adam Dargel.
David is survived by daughter Mary (Gary Miller) of Ponca City, OK, step-sons: Douglas (Patti) Beyer of Redlands, CA, Theodore Beyer of Ellsworth, WI, and Reinhart (Faye) Weber of Arkansaw, WI. He also leaves brothers: Jerry Weber of Bonner’s Ferry, ID. Gordon Weber of Clayton, WI, Joe (Barbara) Weber of Barron, WI, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren as well as other relatives and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Turtle Lake, Wisconsin with Father Jayanna Kanna officiating. There will be a visitation at the church for the hour prior to the service. Burial will be at the St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery in Turtle Lake, Wisconsin.
