Darrell Lester Koster, age 58, of Cameron, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2023 at his home.

He was born July 17, 1964 at Rice Lake to Lester and Jeanette (Hertel) Koster.

He graduated from Faith Christian Academy in Chetek in 1983.

Darrell was quiet about his faith, but was always looking for ways to help others. He had a great concern for those that are unsaved.

Darrell was an avid Milwaukee Brewers baseball fan. He always looked forward to the “opening” day of baseball season and listening to Bob Uecker. He also enjoyed listening to the Wisconsin Badgers and Milwaukee Bucks.

He enjoyed vegetable gardening and spending as much time as he could outdoors. His other hobby was re-storing toy tractors and also, pedal tractors, along with showing his friends his toy tractor collection. He also enjoyed John Wayne movies and reading.

He will be greatly missed, but it is a comfort to know he is with his Savior.

He is survived by his sister, Vivian Koster of Cameron; as well as cousins, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Jeanette; sister, Julie Hoshaw; and nephew, Nathan Hoshaw.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Rausch and Steel Funeral Home in Barron. Visitation one be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
