Darrel Robert Peters Age 48, of Rice Lake, WI, died Saturday, January 20, 2024 in Marshfield, WI after a tough battle with a rare aggressive cancer.

He was born to George Stevens on November 21, 1975 in Clintonville, WI.

Darrel graduated high school in Green Bay, WI and then attended Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. Darrel worked various jobs in the 90’s and in 2007 he started working for Dish Network as a Satellite Technician for many years. He was married to Ashley Peters on March 11, 2018 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He loved the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, having a campfire and being outdoors. His biggest joy in the world was his little boy, Skylar.

He is survived by his wife, Ashely Peters; 6 children, Bradley (Kristen) Wallenfang, Kevin (Skyler) Wallenfang, Natasha Peters, Curtis St. Germain (Abby), Dakotah Peters and Skylar Peters; 2 grandchildren, Olivia and Kyle Wallenfang; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Tony (Deb) Kornfeind and Rhonda Sobralski; a sister, Paula (Jake) Golden; a sister-in-law, Lacey Karow (David Brown): a brother-in-law, Klay Hammann; cousins, Kim (Chad) Nyhagen; nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Stevens; adopted father, Robert Topel; adopted mother, Mindy Peters; brother-in-law, Billy Sobralski; and grandmother-in-law, Ellie Sobralski.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM Friday, January 26, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rice Lake, Father Adam Laski officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, WI is assisting and serving the family with the arrangements.
