In Memory of Danny Zarn
Danny Zarn, age 64, a resident of Spooner, died unexpectedly on Thursday, November 29, 2018, at his home.
Danny was born on November 9, 1954, in Berwyn, Illinois to parents Delbert and Dorothy (Mikos) Zarn. In 1971, the family moved from Berwyn to their home on Lost Lake. Danny enjoyed fishing, riding his bike and volunteering at the Maple Ridge Care Center by playing games with the residents. Throughout his life, Danny participated in Special Olympics where he competed in bowling, track, and discuss winning several awards. When he wasn’t doing any of the above, you could find him working at Pillars Poor Boys in Spooner.
Danny is survived by his twin sisters Sharon (Chuck) Everett of Spooner, Karen Edwards of Spooner, nephews and niece Jeff Slinker, Tim Slinker, Kris Verbeck, Jason Everett, and 7 great nephews and nieces.
Danny is preceded in death by his parents, sister Louann Slinker, and brother in laws Dean Slinker and Donald “Easy” Edwards.
A memorial service for Danny Zarn will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018, at 3pm, at the Spooner Funeral Home with Fr. Bala officiating. Visitation will be at the Funeral Home on Saturday from noon until 3pm. Interment will follow next to his parents at the Spooner Cemetery.
