Danny Chambers Age 70, of Rice Lake, WI, died Monday, September 4, 2023 surrounded by loved ones.

He was born on November 13, 1952 in Indianola, Iowa to Gene and Virginia (Broyles) Chambers.

Danny graduated from Indianola High School in 1971. He then entered the United States Army and served during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam Era and was Honorably Discharged. Danny worked as a telecommunications specialist for many years. He was married to Sue Zefo on June 17, 1989 in Galesburg, Illinois. He loved beer drinking, taking his dog Duke for walks, fishing, hunting, boating and being on the lake.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Chambers; 3 children, Angela (Craig) Henry, Charles (Ashley) Chambers and Zach (Amanda) Chambers; 8 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Steve (Barb) Chambers and Ron (Peg) Chambers; his longtime caregiver and sweetheart, Amy Goveronski; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A private family service will be held 11AM Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, with Military Rites accorded to him by the Rice Lake Veteran Honor Guard. A public celebration of his life will be from 1-4PM Saturday, September 16, 2023 at the Rice Lake Moose Lodge.
