In Memory of Curtis Johnson
Curtis Dale Johnson, age 85, of Siren, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2019.
Curt was born in Milaca, MN., on September 6, 1934. He attended country school district #21 grades 1-8, graduating from Milaca High School. He worked for Coca Cola Co. from 1952 – 1955. He was then drafted into the Army 1955 – 1957, serving in Korea. After the Army, he was employed by Fransen Decorating in Milaca for 2 years. He then moved into Minneapolis and was employed by L. H. Sowles Co. until retirement. He married Dana Finses in 1962. In 1965, the couple moved to North Branch, MN. They were blessed with two children, Keri in 1967 and Michael in 1968. After their retirement, they moved to Danbury, WI. Curt enjoyed biking, golfing, traveling and in his younger years, he liked attending his children’s sporting events, hunting and fishing.
He was a caring husband, a great father and grandfather.
Curt is survived by his wife, Dana; daughter, Keri (Chad) of Austin, TX; son, Michael (Carrie) of Andover, MN; brothers, Paul (Pat) and Bob (Janet); sisters: Joyce, Joan (Ted) and Dorothy (John); brother-in-law, Charles; 8 grandchildren: Taylor (Will), Christian, Tanner, Miyah, Macie, Anna, Ellie and Parker; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Anna and Carl Johnson; his brothers, Bill and Jerome; sisters: Ethelynne, Shirley and Lois.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019, at 11:00am (visitation from 10-11:00am) at the Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home in Webster.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Yellow Lake Lutheran Church Endowment Fund.
