In Memory of Conrad A. Pixley


May 8, 1941 - December 27, 2023

Conrad Arthur Pixley was born in northern Wisconsin on May 8, 1941, to Ernest Pixley and Helen Hyra Pixley. Conrad (C.A.) grew up in Minong, Wisconsin graduating from Northwood High School. Upon graduation, C.A. enlisted in the United States Navy where he served our nation honorably. Upon returning from service in Japan, he married Frances Oemig and settled in Minong where they started a family. The couple had three beloved daughters: Michelle, Rebecca, and Suzanne.

Conrad went on to marry the love of his life, Judith Ness. They thoroughly enjoyed their time together with their spoiled dog – BooBoo; watching C.A.’s beloved Minnesota Vikings, Wild and Twins; and taking long Sunday drives. C.A. also loved hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and time spent on the lake.

Conrad devoted his professional life to his company, Pixley Oil Company. He also served his community as a volunteer fire fighter, emergency medical technician, deputy sheriff and basketball referee. He enjoyed participating in the Lion’s Club and bowling league.

Conrad was proceeded in death by his parents, sister Elaine Pixley Root and special uncle Vernon (Pete) Pixley.

Survivors include his wife, Judy; his daughters Michelle Reichert (Dan) of New Port Richey, FL, Rebecca Pixley (Anthony Smith) and Suzanne Schlueter (Andy Arrigo) both of Trinity, FL; bonus daughter Megan Slocum (Todd) of Apple Valley, MN; bonus son Elliot Ness (Kathryn) of Eagan, MN;  grandsons Nicholas Reichert (Kim) of Houston, TX; Nathan Reichert (Claire) of Amarillo, TX; bonus granddaughters Jordan Pinneke of Minneapolis, MN, and Emily Harwell of Apple Valley, MN, and bonus grandsons Colin, Broden, and Sebastian Ness of Eagan, MN.

Box 493, Spooner, WI 54801 or to the Minong Fire Department by dropping your donation at the Village Office or mailing it to the Minong Village Office 123 5th Avenue E, Minong, WI 54859.

Interment will be at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in the spring.
