In Memory of Clinton C. Fall

June 2, 1932 - February 26, 2024

Clinton Charles Fall, age 91, of Oakdale, MN, passed away on February 26, 2024. He was a pillar of strength, faith, and devotion, especially to his beloved wife of 70 years, Eleanore (Gatto) Fall.

Born on June 2, 1932, to Clinton and Margaret Fall (Rude), Clinton spent his formative years on a small dairy farm in Amery, Wisconsin. He graduated from Amery High School before being drafted in the U.S. Army, where he served his country with pride.

It was at a memorable bonfire in St. Paul, Minnesota, where Clinton met the love of his life, Eleanore. Their union on January 30, 1954, marked the beginning of a beautiful journey, during which they raised four wonderful children. Clinton was a devoted husband, father, adoring grandfather, and great-grandfather, cherishing every moment spent with his family. He found solace and joy at his childhood home, affectionately known as "The Farm," often proclaiming it as God's country.

A man of precision and dedication, Clinton approached every task in life with meticulous care. Whether it was tending to the farm, mowing acres of grass or maintaining the fields on his tractor, he exemplified the values of hard work, dedication and pride.

After more than 32 years of devoted work at 3M, Clinton and Eleanore embraced a rich retirement, enjoying travels across the country and winters in Palm Springs, California. These moments allowed them to reflect on the life they had built together and the memories they shared. Clinton would commonly say, “Enjoy each day, as you will never know what tomorrow will bring.”

Clinton's most cherished treasures were his enduring love for Eleanore and their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. His legacy lives on through his wife Eleanore; children, Clint (Deb), Cathy (Ron) Shimon, Cheryl (Gene) Meyer and Jim (Kara); grandchildren, Sarah (Kelly), Christopher (Vicki), Shannon (Daniel), Ken (Kristyn), Dan (Suzanne), Jim (Renee), Eric (Heidi), Cara (Nate), Jacob (Amanda), Jonathon (Meg), Christine (J.C.), Ashley (Spencer), James, Matthew, Lindsey, and Sonja Nelson (sister); and 21 great-grandchildren.

Clinton will be remembered for his unwavering love, his dedication to family, and his profound impact on all who knew him. May his legacy of love and devotion continue to inspire generations to come.

Clinton was preceded in death by his parents, Clinton and Margaret Fall; brother, Harry Fall; sister-in-law, Bev Fall; brother-in-law, Phil Nelson; and granddaughter, Sallie Bellicot.

Clinton, Eleanore and family were deeply grateful for the compassionate care provided by healthcare professionals at United Heart and Vascular Clinic in St. Paul, Amery Hospital, Amery Wound Clinic and Lakeview Homecare.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 11, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1050 Keller Avenue North, in Amery, WI. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at the Amery Cemetery.
