Reverend Clarence Lewis Schaffner was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on April 8, 1931. He died in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin on June 17, 2024. “A wonderful life filled with beautiful people” (including but not limited to) parents Helen Wieken Schaffner and Clarence Louis Schaffner, sister Sandra Sawyer, beautiful wife Marcelyn Joann nee Nelsen; children and spouses Juliann Lois, Brad Wilcox, Bradley Lewis, Elaine (Matt), Philip Anchor, Karin Beth, Louis Vukich; grandchildren Bart, Madisen, and Maud (Hunter) Vukich, Charlie and Emma Wilcox, and Johnny Schaffner.

Degrees U of M Carlson School of Business 1953, Northwestern Lutheran Seminary Minister of Divinity 6/4/1964. ELCA Churches Served Crosslake Lutheran, Swanberg Lutheran 2 point Church, Almelund Immanuel Lutheran Church, Eveleth Christ Lutheran, Hoyt Lakes 4 point Methodist Parish (Associate), and Virginia Gethsemine Lutheran (Associate).
