In Memory of Clarence Johnson
Clarence Johnson, age 81, a resident of Siren, WI passed away on April 6, 2023.
Clarence was born on April 27, 1941 in Stillwater, MN to parents Maynard and Ione Johnson.
Clarence enlisted into the Army in October of 1960. He served his country until he was honorably discharged in August of 1963.
Clarence married Jeanie Thompson on October 3, 1962 in Hanau, Germany where they spent their first year of marriage.
After returning to the United States from active-duty Clarence worked for Polk-Burnett Electric for over 32 years.
Clarence loved cars, tinkering in the garage, going to his grandchildren’s sporting events and spending time with his family.
His family and friends will miss his storytelling and great sense of humor.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Joanne Brown; and brother, Kenny Johnson.
He will be forever missed by his loving wife of 60 years, Jeanie; sons, Jeff (Shelly) and Gregg Johnson; daughter, Linda (Jim) Svoboda; grandchildren, Chaunteal (Max), Kody, Collin, Aaron (Natalie), Jessica, Joe, Connor, Kally; great-grandchildren, Celia, Annica and Finley; along with other relatives and many friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 2:00 PM (visitation from 12:00 – 2:00 PM) at Bethany Lutheran Church in Siren, WI with Pastor Emily Stelling officiating followed by full Military Honors.
Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home.
