In Memory of Charles Krause
Charles “Chuck” Roy Krause Age 67, of Rice Lake, WI died Saturday, August 3, 2019 at the Marshfield Medical Center Rice Lake.
He was born on January 22, 1952 in Rice Lake to Robert and Lois (Pitman) Krause. Chuck graduated from the Rice Lake High School in 1970 and then attended WITC. He was married to Mahala Shudlick on September 24, 1971 in Barron and then entered the United States Air Force where he was a B52 mechanic and served for 8 years and was Honorably Discharged. Chuck worked for Birchwood Manufacturing and also worked for Johnson Truck Bodies as a mechanic and in the sales department for parts. He loved to fish, hunt, woodwork, garden - especially planting squash and sunflowers, making bird houses, electrified wood, making crafts, painting and being with his dogs. Chuck also taught his grandsons how to fish.
He is survived by his wife, Mahala “Hala” Krause of Rice Lake; a son and daughter-in-law, Uriah and Penny Krause of Eau Claire, WI; 2 grandchildren, Conner and Kienen Krause; 2 sisters, Carol Cipra of Rice Lake and Renee Krause (Tim Stach) of Rice Lake; an adopted grandson, Cayden Williams and his parents, Gary and Renee Williams of Dubuque, Iowa; many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lois Krause; a brother, Ronald Krause; a brother-in-law, Robert Cipra.
Private family graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at the Nora Cemetery in Rice Lake with Jon Tillung officiating, where Military Rites will be accorded him by the Rice Lake Veteran Honor Guard.
A public celebration of his life will be held from Noon-2PM Saturday, August 17, 2019 at the Rice Lake Moose Lodge. Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
