In Memory of Charles Kahl
Charles Gordon Kahl Age 82, of Rice Lake, died Sunday, September 8, 2019 at the Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire, WI with his loving family surrounding him.
He was born on October 5, 1936 in Cameron, WI to Carl and Gladys (Anderson) Kahl. Charles graduated from the Cameron High School in 1954 and was married to Frances Folz on October 12, 1957. He worked for General Telephone Company and also worked for the City of Rice Lake for many years as a mechanic and specialized in Volkswagens. He loved to go deer hunting, ice fishing and traveling. Charles enjoyed hanging out with his great grandsons and especially loved being with his family because they were so special to him.
He is survived by his beautiful wife of 61 years, Fran Kahl of Rice Lake; 2 daughters, Karen (Greg) Burch of Barron, WI and Marianne (Tom) Peterson of Cameron; a granddaughter, Michelle Rataj; 2 great grandsons, Landon and Rylan; special friends, The Moore Family; adopted daughter, Deb Jacobs; many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Gladys Kahl; and his siblings, James, Delores, John, Orlo, Art, Marcetta, Anna and Earl.
A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2019 from 10:30AM-2:30PM at the Rice Lake Moose Lodge in Rice Lake, with a service to be held at 11AM and lunch will be served from 12PM-130PM.
Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
