In Memory of Carolyn R. Pedersen

Our loving mother, Carolyn Ruth Pedersen, 81, of Trego, Wisconsin, and formerly of Cincinnati, Ohio, died on Sunday, September 11, 2022.

Carolyn was born in Dayton, Ohio, and moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, when she was two years old. Carolyn lived there until 1975 when she moved with her four children, Mom, and Stepdad to Trego, Wisconsin. It was in Trego when she met her husband, Lawrence (Pete) Pedersen. She held various positions through her life from a Clerical support staff position in Ohio to a Lab Tech Specialist at the Spooner Hospital. She also was a waitress/bartender at The Red Fox, Club 70, Foxxies and Rizzo’s Pizza until she retired to take care of her two grandsons and spend time with her family. Most of all she enjoyed staying at her home on Potato Creek in Trego. She loved the peacefulness of the creek, watching the hummingbirds outside her window and the wildlife that would come into the yard. She also enjoyed bowling and spending time on the pontoon with friends and family.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Lawrence (Pete) Pedersen; sister – Mary Lohman (OH); children - Mark (Trudy) Rizzo, Theresa (Rance) Rizzo, Kay Rizzo, and Mary (Barry) Rizzo O’Neil; grandchildren - Jason, Brian, Stephen, Brandon, Brock, Mary, Benjamin, Larisa, and Nicole; and many nephews/nieces and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Stepfather, and Father - Eloise and Jack Lohman, and Al Eysoldt.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 20, at 4:00 p.m. at the Spooner Funeral Home with Fr. Phil Juza officiating.

Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 p.m.
