In Memory of Carolyn H. Olson
Carolyn H. Olson, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on July 1, 2025, at the age of 83.
Born on December 6, 1941, to Wallace and Ruth Thompson, Carolyn lived a life full of love, laughter, and purpose.
In 1959, she married Randy Olson, and together they raised their son, Shane. Carolyn was the heart of the home—supportive, encouraging, and always caring for others with a warm smile. A hardworking woman, she spent her life caring for others and tending to the farm, milking cows and managing life with strength and grace. She gave her time and energy selflessly, always ready to lend a hand or offer a kind word.
Carolyn had a zest for life and a love for adventure. She found joy in ice fishing, Taco Tuesdays at the bar, and hunting for treasures at garage sales. Her advice was always sensible, her love abundant, and her presence a comfort to all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Ruth Thompson; her sisters, Norma Thompson and Kathy Loberg; and her beloved grandson, Luke Olson.
Carolyn is survived by her brother, Buck (Jan) Thompson and sisters Connie (Roger) Johnson and Debby Thompson, son Shane (Angie), grandchildren Sheldon (Holly), Tony (Nikki), Sadie (Gavyn), and her great-grandchildren.
Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
A private burial will be held at a later date.
