Caroline Dostal Age 86, of Cameron, WI, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Our House Assisted Living in Rice Lake, WI.

She was born on August 4, 1937, to Charles and Blanche (Janecky) Snobl.

Caroline attended Benjamin Franklin country school and graduated Rice Lake High School in 1955. She attended and graduated from Barron County Normal School. Caroline then taught school until she married Donald Dostal in 1960 and at that point became a homemaker. Caroline raised her children, grew a huge garden which all of us kids hated weeding, and raised a lot of poultry. She was a 4-H leader for over 50 years, a member of the Barron County Fair Board, and a Cameron School Board member for 36 years. Caroline loved her gardens, canning, baking, tending her bird feeders, raising ducks, geese and chickens. Her favorite summer activity was being at the fair as poultry superintendent.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Dostal; her children, Donald Jr. (Mary Ann) Dostal, Susan (Tom) Weniger, Patricia (Bob) Shubatt, Daryl Dostal, Dennis Dostal and Elizabeth (John) Pellowski; 4 grandchildren, Erica (Dave), Sam (Ben), Jack and Will; 6 great grandchildren, Taylor, Hunter, Darby, Maddie, Micah and Emmie; a sister, Evelyn Snobl; a brother, Edward Snobl; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by an infant son; her parents, Charles and Blanche Snobl; 2 brothers, Charles and John Snobl.

Funeral Services will be held at Noon, Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, with interment in Pioneer Rest Cemetery in Canton, WI. Visitation will be held from 10AM-Noon Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to the Barron County Fair Association.
