In Memory of Carol Sirianni


October 26, 1932 - June 9, 2019

Carol Edith Sirianni, age 86, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 9, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. Carol was born on October 26th, 1932, to Earl and Edith (Risberg) Levy and was the youngest of seven children. She grew up west of Cumberland and attended Woodside School through 4th grade. She attended Cumberland Schools starting with 5th Grade and graduated in 1950. In 1954, she married Stephen Van Cauteren and had two children (Steve and Cindy). Stephen preceded her in death in July of 1956. On June 13th, 1959, she married Frank R. "Bob" Sirianni. They had two children (Juli and Michelle) and remained happily married for 60 years.

Carol began working at a young age for her aunt and uncle in their grocery store (Sam’s Corner). Later in her life, she worked for 3M, Toftness Chiropractic Clinic, Stokely's, Irwin and American Tool, and Falcon Drill. She worked a total of 35 combined years at the final three jobs and happily retired. Carol and Bob also managed their company Sirianni Vending/Dairy for 12 years.

Carol was very proud of her ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She enjoyed going to football, basketball, softball, baseball, volleyball games, and wrestling matches to cheer them on. Carol was active over the years with Falcon Drill Birds, bowling, crossword puzzles, and she loved to read. She was an active parishioner of Saint Anthony Church and enjoyed being part of the Council of Catholic Women (CCW).

Carol is survived by her loving husband, Bob; son, Stephen Sirianni; daughters: Cindy (Barry) Coil, Juli (Todd) Relford, Michelle (Steven) Fisher; grandchildren: Nicole (Keith) Snetting, Rob (Sarah) Heinecke, Skylar (Christy) Coil, Jordan Coil (Cara Greene), Logan Relford, Makenzie Relford, Kallista Relford, Whitney Fisher, Regina Fisher, Zachary Fisher; great-grandchildren: Tegan Snetting, Tessa Heinecke, and Maddox Coil.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Edith Levy; brothers Edd, Clarence, and Arnold Levy; sisters, Florence Richter, Eleanor "Toots" Bethel, and Vivian "Peggy" Franklin McCauley; nieces and one nephew.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Cumberland with Father Dennis Mullen officiating and burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church for 2 hours prior to the mass. Serving as pallbearers are Rob Heinecke, Skylar Coil, Jordan Coil, Logan Relford, Zachary Fisher and Keith Snetting.

Skinner Funeral Home of Cumberland is serving the family.
