Carol Anne Adamczyk, 69, of Turtle Lake went to be with God on August 22, 2019, after a three year battle with cancer. Her strong faith and loving family led her through the struggle and ultimately gave her peace. She was born July 31, 1950, in Chicago, IL to Stanley and Dolores (Knize) Wagnarus. Carol met the love of her life, Timothy Adamczyk, in Drivers Ed at Oak Lawn High School. They were married at St. Gerald's Catholic Church in Oak Lawn, IL on May 10, 1969. They were blessed with two daughters.

Carol and Tim moved to Minnesota in the 1970s and then to Turtle Lake, WI to become farmers in the early 1980s. Carol worked as a dairy farmer for five years before joining the office staff at AMPI, and then Motorbooks in Osceola. A few months ago she retired from being the church secretary at the East Lincoln Alliance Church in Amery, WI.

After her children left for college, Carol served for two years in the Peace Corp with Tim in Jamaica. She was also a short term English language instructor in Poland and went on a mission trip to Mexico.

Carol enjoyed her many travel adventures with Tim. She was a talented quilter and had a great love of the outdoors. She cherished spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by husband, Timothy "Tim"; daughters: Jennifer (Mike) Kil, and Amy (Donald Morisette) Adamczyk; grandchildren: Hannah Kil, Andy Kil, and Sam Kil; sister, Pamela Wagnarus; nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends. Carol was preceded in death by her brother, John Wagnarus; and her parents, Stanley and Dolores Wagnarus.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, August 31, 2019, at East Lincoln Alliance Church in Amery, WI with Pastor Eric Danielson officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM on Friday, August 30, 2019, at the Skinner Funeral Home in Turtle Lake, and for one hour before the service on Saturday. Burial will be at a later date.
