Carl E. Huset, 92, of Chetek, passed away on December 29, 2019 at the Meadowbrook Nursing Home in Chetek.  Carl was born on June 7, 1927 in Dallas, Wisconsin the son of Oscar and Clara (Thompson) Huset. 

Carl was employed at the US Postal Service in St. Paul MN for 30 years. He retired back to Chetek in 1985, with his wife Mary. Together they enjoyed dancing, fishing and sharing breakfast at Bob’s Grill with friends.

Carl is survived by his, son Richard A. (Vicki) Huset, River Falls WI; grandson, Richard L. (Julie) Huset, great grandchildren: Jenna and Liam Huset of Eau Claire W; brother,

Donald Huset, Dallas,WI; and numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

Carl is preceded in death by wife Mary (Anderson) Huset, parents Oscar and Clara Huset, brother, Leo Huset, sisters: Lorraine “Olga” Nielson, Ilene Gunderman, Luella Rogers,

former wife Norma (Lee) Campbell and infant daughter May Ann.

 Visitation for Carl will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2020 from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at the Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home in Chetek and then again on Friday, January 10, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.  Following the service a light lunch will be held at the funeral home.  All are invited.

Carl will be laid to rest at the Evergreen Cemetery in North St. Paul.

The Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home of Chetek has been entrusted with arrangements.
