In Memory of C. Daryl Goudy


April 10, 1939 - March 7, 2022

Clarence Daryl "Skip" Goudy, 82, of Cumberland, died Monday, March 7, 2022 at Woodstone Assisted Living in Rice Lake.

He was born April 10, 1939 in Minneapolis, MN to Clarence and Evelyn (Myhervold) Goudy.

Skip spent much of his youth in Virginia, MN, graduating from Richfield High School in 1957.

Skip married Rosemary Wickre at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Cumberland on February 20, 1965. He worked many years in the Minneapolis area as a graphic designer for Pako Corp and had a special talent for schematic and technical drawing. He and his father and brother operated Graphic Prep for a number of years. He and Rosi moved to Pine Island, then Chicago, IL, Columbus, OH, White Plains, NY and Danbury, CT, before moving to Cumberland in 2010. Skip was a gifted storyteller and known for his quick wit.

He is survived by his wife, Rosemary; children: Beth (Dunning) Lau of Sparks, NV, Jill (J.J.) Mo of Murrieta, CA, and Daniel Goudy of Minneapolis, MN; grandchildren: Jennifer, Jonathan, Kyle, and Eugene; great grandchildren: Harper and Blake; one brother, James (Carol) Goudy Burnsville, MN; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, March 11, 2022 at Skinner Funeral Home in Cumberland with Pastor Ken Mandley officiating and burial to follow at Lakeside Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jim Goudy, David Wickre, Paul Wickre, Jenni Gruetzman, Mark Wickre, Bill Skinner, Mayon Dixon-Goss. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
