Brett William Tyler Age 23, of Rice Lake, WI was killed in a car accident in Washburn County, WI on Sunday, May 12, 2019.

He was born on April 16, 1996 in Rice Lake to Scott and Jennifer (Smith) Tyler. Brett graduated from the Rice Lake High School in 2014 and was a salesman for Swant Graber Motors in Barron, WI. He was married to McKayla Motzer on January 26, 2019 in Chetek, WI. Brett loved to be on the golf course with his friends, on the boat with his family or outside taking his daughter for walks. Brett enjoyed playing hockey and football and will always be remembered for his great smile.

He is survived by his wife, McKayla Tyler of Rice Lake; a daughter, Berklee Tyler of Rice Lake; his parents, Scott (Sue) Tyler of Rice Lake and Jennifer (Tom) Powers of Rice Lake; his brothers and sisters, Trae Tyler, Bethani (Luke) Demmers, Jenna Shipman (Eric Elwood), Caleb Randall and Charley Randall; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Jasmine Berning, Brayton Berning and Cooper Motzer; his grandparents, Jim and Sharon Tyler of Rice Lake, Marcia Smith of Rice Lake and Bruce (Doreen) Smith of Barnes, WI; his father and mother-in-law, Ryan (Andrea) Motzer of Chetek and Heide Berning (Derek Waterhouse) of Chetek; many uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces.

Funeral Services will be held at 11AM Friday, May 17, 2019 at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Rice Lake, Rev. Paul Green officiating. Visitation will be held from 3-8PM Thursday at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake and for one hour prior to the Funeral Service at the Church on Friday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to the Berklee Tyler scholarship fund.
