Bradley W. Huff of Seeley, WI passed away on November 27th at Hammond Health Services, where he had been a resident for the past two months, with loved ones by his side.

His mother and father were waiting for him on the banks of that big fishing hole in the sky. Brad’s mother, the Amazing Edna, was there with his fishing pole in her hand exclaiming: “It’s about time you got here! Let’s go fishing!”

Brad was born on June 7, 1953, to Bill and Edna (Fuller) Huff of Seeley, Wisconsin. He attended Seeley School, a one room school, until 9th grade, when he went to Hayward High School. Brad was a member of the Hayward Band, which he loved, playing percussion. After high school, Brad attended Madison Area Technical College for court reporting and after a brief time in Galena, Illinois, he was hired as the court reporter for Rusk County in Ladysmith, Wisconsin.

In June of 1973 he married Terry Gray. They were later divorced. A daughter, Kelly Noel, was born to them on November 30, 1977. To Brad, Kelly was the most beautiful, brilliant daughter anyone had ever produced! His opinion of Kelly never changed.

While living in Ladysmith, Brad was member of the Ladysmith Jaycees, the Ladysmith City Council and was named Grand Marshall for the Ladysmith Mardi Gras event in 1995. He later moved back to Hayward and worked at Lein Law Office, Sawyer County Child Support and finally Northland Counseling before retiring. He was a proud co-founder and President of the Seeley Breakfast Club, which sponsors scholarships and assistance to those in need.

Brad enjoyed fishing, dancing, going to casinos with his friends, working in his flower garden, which was truly an enchanted beautiful place full of flowers, birds, and garden decorations. He loved watching the Badgers, Bucks and the Packers, and was the best joke teller around. Everyone looked forward to his newest Ole & Lena joke.

Brad loved nature and people. Brad never met a stranger, because within 10 minutes of speaking with him, he knew where you worked, who your relatives were and whether or not you were a Wisconsin athletic fan. He loved feeding his birds and chipmunks. Like his mother, he did NOT like red squirrels!

Brad was a great cook and made the best wild rice dressing that he was asked to bring to many gatherings. He was the kindest and most giving person you’ve ever met and his sense of humor was superb. Brad was never happier than when he was in room with loved ones and/or friends. Brad’s love for his daughter, Kelly, his son-in-law Wayne, his grandsons, Trenton and Aiden, and his sweetheart Colleen, knew no limits.

Brad is survived by his daughter Kelly (Wayne) Nelson of Roberts, Wisconsin and was proud “Poppa” to Trenton and Aiden. He is further survived by brothers Bill (Lois) of Sebring, FL and Earl of Delray Beach, FL, his sister Darlene Chaney of Spooner, his nieces Cheryl (Bryan) Beaudreau, Susan (Sam) Borsellino, Dorleen (John) Pickett, Janet Wilson, Sheri (Jean Lacerte) Huff and Angie Huff, and nephews Ed (Greta) Chaney and Scott Chaney, and numerous great, great-great and great-great-great nieces and nephews. He leaves behind his Sweetheart, Colleen Truax and her children, Jeremiah (Kat) Truax of Brookfield, WI and Amber Granger of Dunedin, FL and grandchildren Tyler, Briee, Milo, and Rowan.

He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Deloris (Don) Olson, niece Brenda Pickler and his beloved Siamese cat, Minnie Min, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 14th at the Spider Lake Church, Main Street Campus with Pastor Gary Hilgendorf and Pastor Larry Sturgis officiating. A time of remembrance will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday the 14th at the Main Street Campus. A light luncheon will be held at the Sawmill Saloon in Seeley.

Because Brad always wanted everyone to have a good time, this gathering will be no exception. Be prepared to share your favorite B-Rad stories.
