In Memory of Bradley J. Knickerbocker

June 13, 1981 - March 18, 2025

On the day Brad was born, June 13th, 1981, purple and orange began coursing through his veins. He loved the town of Chetek, its’ 2,161 inhabitants, the lakes, Sunset View Golf Course, and the sports teams.

Shortly after learning to walk his big brother Bill began teaching him the true meaning of competition. Even though Brad was younger and didn’t have the bulk of his brother, no mercy was shown. It took years and tears before “Bo” caught the bigger fish, won a game of horse, and hit a longer drive. These hours of competition became a driving force fueling a dream.

Trails of meandering words were carved into his wooden headboard; confidence, no excuses, dedication, and passion. The dream became a reality when Chetek’s basketball team played in The Barn in March of 2000.

Brad’s Mom described her sons as homing pigeons, who after college came back to live in their hometown.

Brad was a manager at Pokegama Inn before taking a job at Bill’s Distributing in Menomonie serving as a sales rep and eventually as a craft beer sales manager. During this time period Brad met Danielle and they welcomed a beautiful little daughter, Brinley Rose, the “forever sunshine” in Brad’s life.

Brinley gained a stepbrother, Chaz, in 2023 when Brad married Rachel Johana Agazie.  With Jo and Chaz added to the family nest, love permeated Brad’s life.

Healing memories of Brad will always be carried in the hearts of Jo, his wife, stepson (Chaz), parents (Judy and Bill Knickerbocker), brother Bill (Courtney), and nephews Brantley and Everett and skads of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

A tribute to Brad’s life will be held on April 5th at The Mill in Chetek. A service will be held at 11:00 followed by a social gathering which we hope is filled with stories, smiles, and laughter. Feel free to wear Bulldog attire even if it is from the past and is a little snug.
