In Memory of Bonnie Beth McTaggart
October 30, 1913 - May 4, 2018
Bonnie McTaggart, age 104, a lifelong resident of the Spooner area, went home to be with Jesus on Friday, May 04, 2018, at the Maple Ridge Care Center.
Bonnie was born on October 30, 1913, in Shell Lake, Wisconsin to parents Samuel and Nellie (Chatfield) Broome. She attended school in Shell Lake and while working away from home in Earl, she met Clayton McTaggart who she would marry on July 4, 1934. After their marriage, the couple resided in Earl until after World War II when they moved to Spooner where she would remain the rest of her life. Bonnie was a homemaker where she could cook, sew, and care for her children. She also loved to garden, flowers, visiting with friends, caring for others, and her beloved dog. When the boys were young, they enjoyed Sunday School and Church, and let her grandchildren and great grandchildren know they were special.
Bonnie is survived by her sons: Larry (Pamela) of Sparta, WI, Edward (Rocky) of Oklahoma City, OK, Dan (Lori) of Chippewa Falls, WI, 8 grandchildren: Jennifer, Rod, Jodi, Chad, Erika, Scott, Clayton, Connor, 16 great grandchildren: Nicole, Dana, Cody, Erik, John, Jake, Nick, Kaylie, Charlie, Carter, Kelsey, Elaina, Camden, Tabin, Linnea, Wyatt great great granddaughter Willow, and niece Connie “Snooks”.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Clayton, sisters Marian and Una, and daughter in law Elaine.
A graveside service for Bonnie McTaggart was held on Monday, May 7, 2018, at 11am, at the Earl Cemetery with Pastor LeRoy Drake as officiant. Online condolences may be left at www.bratley-nelsonchapels.com
