Beverly Mercedes Durbahn Tallant, age 91, passed away Friday, April 26, 2019 at her residence in Spooner, Wisconsin surrounded by her children. She was born on November 28, 1927 in Crookston, MN, the daughter of Wilbert and Frieda (Johnson) Durbahn. She was united in marriage to Thomas Allen Tallant on September 21, 1947 in St. Paul, MN.

Beverly graduated from Minnesota School of Business in 1944 and later graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.S. Degree. She worked in healthcare as a Registered Medical Records Administrator until her retirement in 1991. Beverly enjoyed camping, canoeing and playing cards, especially SkipBo with her family. She was an avid reader and enjoyed cross word puzzles.

She was active in many organizations including Bridge Club, Food Pantry, PTA, Women's Club, Cub Scouts, Library Board and Community Choir. Beverly was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her children, Katheryn (Rick) Hals of North Branch, MN, Thomas (Patty) Tallant of Spooner, WI, and Clayton Tallant of Spooner, WI; her siblings, Roger (Lucinda) Durbahn of Hugo, MN and Kay Johnson of Minnetonka, MN; ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

In addition to her parents, Beverly is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas; her sister, Patty (Durbahn) Benson; her brother, Dell Durbahn; and her brothers-in-law, Arvid Benson and Ray Johnson.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spooner, where visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of the service. Pastor Dan Hermanson will officiate. Interment will be held privately at Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
