Betty L. (Justeson) Salmela, age 80, died October 27, 2019, at Maple Ridge Assisted Living in Spooner, WI.

Betty Lucille Justeson was born February 7, 1939 in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Alvin J. and Marion L. (Genoski) Justeson.  Betty attended Robinsdale High School in Robinsdale, MN. Betty worked as an Interior Designer for JC Penney's and retired in the 1980s. She was married to Michael D. Scott from 1961-1980.  In those years, together they had 4 children - Mark Scott, Stacy Scott, Todd Scott and Brian Scott.  Betty remarried in 1981 to Montie Salmela. He has three children Craig Salmela, Missy Steinbach, and Robbin Pettow. Together they shared 16 grandchild and 14 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Rita Gaulke.  Betty loved her lake home and loved sharing it with her full family. She enjoyed cooking, decorating, connecting with her family and dropping the occasional dollar into the local area slot machines.  She will be missed and loved forever.
