Betty Jane Kindy Orsund Age 88, of Birchwood, WI, died Friday, August 9, 2019 at the Shell Lake Health Care in Shell Lake, WI.

Betty was born on March 6,1931 in Mishawaka, In. to Pearl and Floyd Kindy. She graduated from Mishawaka High in 1948.  She worked at Ball Band which became Uniroyal.  Here is where she met Henry (Whitey)Orsund.  They were married April 13,1957, in South Bend, In. They moved to Birchwood, Wisc. In 1972 from South Bend, Ind. The love of her life Henry (Whitey) passed away 9/11/10. Betty enjoyed spending time with her friends and neighbors.  She loved all kinds of Arts and Crafts like knitting, crocheting, painting and she loved to read. She also loved watching the Packers with her friend. She was preceded in death by Henry, both her parents, 2 sisters and 2 brothers.

Betty is survived by her daughter and son in law, Kathy and Pug Kulp, her granddaughter Jessica Caskey, Grandson Adam Burtsfield along with 2 great grand children Brooklyn and Riley.  She also leaves behind many beloved friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 11AM Thursday, August 22, 2019 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, with Rev. Jack Jorgensen officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the Funeral Service at the Church on Thursday, August 22, 2019.

Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, WI is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorials would be appreciated.
