July 9, 1935 - October 28, 2017

Sly, Betty Elaine, 82, of Spooner passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Hayward Health Services in Hayward. 

Betty was born on July 9, 1935 to Basil and Emma (Stenberg) Johnson in Strum, WI.  She graduated from Strum High School.  She married Allan Howard Sly on October 27, 1956 in Strum, WI.  They were married for over 61 years. 

Betty is survived by: her husband, Allan, of Spooner, three children; Michael Sly of Minneapolis, MN, Randy Sly of Onamia, MN, and Teresa Sly of Cross Lake, MN, three grandchildren; Matt, Eric, and Alexis, and one brother, Lyle (Janice) Johnson of Spencer, WI.  She was preceded by; her parents, and three brothers, Milan Johnson, Basil Johnson, Jr., and Burton Johnson. 

A memorial service for Betty will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 2:00 PM at The Spooner Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Starr officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
