Becky Jill Niibaagaabawiikwe “Standing Woman” Bearheart, 61, of Cumberland died Monday, January 25, 2021 at her home. She was born April 26, 1959 in Siren, WI to Ed and Gladys (Merrill) Kingeagle, Sr.

Becky was an avid reader, beader, and quiller. She was a well respected elder of the community. She loved all animals, especially her dog, Zoey. In her spare time Becky could be found watching NCIS the Closer, and Jeopardy.

Becky is survived by children: Robert J. Bearheart Sr. and Stuart Bearheart, both of Cumberland; grandchildren: Isaiah Williams, Calvin Christopher, Arlonna Christopher, Lucian Bearheart, Ajahnei Bearheart, and Aspen Williams; sisters: Roberta Bearheart of Cumberland, Barbara LaBlanc of Cumberland, and Beverly Bearheart of Couderay; Donna Lynk, Debbie Heminger, Jonita Zephier, Genelli Drapeau, Mary Washington, and Barbara Katt; brothers: Vince Beyl, Galen Drapeau Jr., Kevin Pederson; care-giver, Kathy Foster; many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her life partner, Robin Haner; brother, Edward Bearheart; mother, Gladys Bearheart; father, Ed Kingeagle Sr.; sister, Bonnie Bearheart; grandson, Robert Bearheart Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Maple Plain Community Center with Chato (Ombishkebines) Gonzalez officiating. Burial will be in Maple Plain Reserve Cemetery. Pallbearers are Keith Hopinka, Eugene Hart, Bill Rainey, Bruce Rainey, Devin Begay, Stewart Eagleman. Honorary pallbearers are Chris “Chief” Boland, John Zephier, Dave Danforth, Dennis Danforth, Angela White, Kevin Pederson, Izzy Zephier, Barb Katt, Renita Picotte, Julie Paradis. Visitation will be from from 3 PM Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at the Maple Plain Community Center.
