Barb was born on April 27, 1948 in Kenosha, WI to Merlyn and Harold Apple. On September 7, 1967 at age 19 she married the love of her life, Paul Jacobs, with whom she would spend the next 57 years raising and caring for her family. They started married life in Milwaukee, WI followed by nearly 30 years in Cedarburg, WI where they raised their two daughters. In 2000 they retired to Birchwood, WI and spent recent years together enjoying winters in Sebastian, FL and summers in northern WI. Barb’s passions and loves in life revolved around family. Although Barb worked in several careers throughout her life, she was especially passionate about being a loving and devoted homemaker. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved baking cookies for family and friends, and always made sure that their favorites were around. Barb also enjoyed sewing and quilting, attending Grace Lutheran Church in Brill, entertaining family and friends, and playing in Texas Hold-Em card tournaments.

Barb is survived by her husband Paul, two daughters and their families. Daughter Jennifer Schiller of Brookfield, WI is mother to granddaughters Abigail and Eleanor. Daughter Ami Iverson of Birchwood, WI is married to Peter Iverson and the two are parents of granddaughter Ingrid (married to Anthony, mother to Astrid Bee), grandson Douglas (married to Brianna, father to Wilhelm Peter) and grandson Colin. Barb was also the beloved aunt of many loving nieces and nephews. She will be remembered as a caring and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and a friend loved by so many.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Siegrid Dixon and Darla Heaviland, and her brother-in-law Linden Jacobs.
