Audrey Diane Gipple, age 83, of Trego, WI, passed away surrounded by family on December 29, 2022, at Indianhead Medical Center in Shell Lake, WI.

Audrey was born in Oak Park, IL to Oliver and Swanhild Schultz on August 26, 1939.

She attended Spooner High School in 1956 at the age of 16 and went on to graduate from Wisconsin State College at Eau Claire, now UWEC, with her degree in Office Administration. She held many positions with Washburn County for 29 years culminating in Directing the Unit on Aging. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Spooner and part of the Anah Cemetery Committee in Trego.

In her free time Audrey enjoyed playing daily games of solitaire, occasional games of cribbage, completing crossword and jigsaw puzzles and reading books.

Audrey is preceded in death by her father, Oliver Schultz; mother, Swanhild Schultz; brother, James Schultz; sister, Janet Jones; first husband, Barry Larson and 2nd husband, Robert Gipple.

Audrey is survived by her sweetheart Ronald Pecha of Trego; children, Arne Larson and Cindy Weber of Rice Lake, Davin and Mary Larson of Trego, Peter Larson of Rice Lake, Chris Gipple and Sam Noel of Parker, CO; grandchildren, Derek, Blake, Barry, Hunter, Cassie and Jacob; and great-grandchildren Brynlee, Symon, Audrey, Ella and Ivy.

Visitation will be on January 3, 2023, at 10:00am at the United Methodist Church in Spooner, WI. Funeral services will be held at the United Methodist Church on January 3, 2023, at 11:00am with the Reverend Marcia Hunter of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, St. Paul, MN officiating. Burial will follow at Anah Cemetery in Trego, WI.
