In Memory of Arthur Beckmark Sr.


June 23, 1938 - May 13, 2021

Arthur William Beckmark, Sr., age 82 passed away at home on May 13, 2021 after a seven year battle with cancer.

He was born on June 23, 1938 at home to William and Leona Beckmark in Falun, Wisconsin. He lived his whole life in the Burnett County area. He attended the Wood Creek School and then Siren School.

Art met his future wife, Bev Liquia the summer of 1959 while working in construction along the North Shore in Minnesota. They married December 26, 1959. To this union two children were born, a son, Arthur Beckmark, Jr. and daughter, Tammy Lynn.

In 1965 they purchased the farm from his parents and lived there forty years until selling it and building a new home.

Art worked many years in construction both with Tjader and Elllis and finally the Winona Plumbing Company. After many years he finally found the job he loved, driving semi for the Burnett Dairy. He retired from that job at the age of 73.

He served as a Siren Lion for nine years during this time he played Santa for the Siren Lioness’ Santa Day. He also played Santa at the Siren School, Connections, Siren’s Kid Center, as well as the trailer parks Christmas in July event.

Art is preceded in death by his parents, William and Leona; daughter, Tammy Lynn Zuech; his in laws, Otto and Marie Martin; along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years Bev; son, Arthur, Jr.; 5 grandchildren, Steven Beckmark, Alayna Zuech, Ross Beckmark, Darren Zuech and Grant Beckmark; 8 great grandchildren, Emily Taft, Rian Beckmark, Cheyanne Beckmark, Mary Jane Beckmark, William Scott Beckmark, Dominic Zuech, Makiya Zuech and Maveric Zuech; along with other relatives and friends. He will be missed.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 from 4-7:00 PM with prayer service at 7:00 PM at Swedberg-Taylor, Siren. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Lakeview/Mudhen Lake Cemetery in Daniels Township. Pallbearers will be Barry Stewart, Bennie Johnson, Tommy Cole, Jerry Roy, Doug Nyren, and Darren Zuech.

Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Siren.
