In Memory of Amber R. Ritchie
Amber Rae Ritchie, 35, of Cumberland, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 16th, 2024, at United Hospital in St. Paul, MN. She was born on January 11th, 1989 in Cumberland, WI. She was a graduate of Cumberland High School, class of 2008.
Amber’s infectious smile and giggle lit up the room. Her sense of humor, spunk, sharp observations, and smirk will always be remembered. She loved teaming up with Dad to pull pranks on Mom. Amber also took pride in being the older sister to Patrick, which included sticking up for him against Mom and Dad, and their own special form of communication. While her physical challenges might have limited her, her strong will and perseverance always shone through. She lived life to the fullest, as a child she enjoyed horse-back riding, many wonderful summers at Camp Courage, and being a part of the Camp Courage wagon train. Of course that bond she had with her brother brought great joy for her as she cheered him on all through his high school and college soccer games. Later in life came side-by-side rides, cheering on the Packers during game day parties, camping, and trips to the cabin with her family. She was always up for going bye-bye on a shopping spree and to get a mocha frappe.
Amber is survived by her Parents, Jay and Ruby Ritchie; Brother, Patrick Ritchie (Kari Ritchie); Grandpa, Norm Levy; Aunt and Uncles, Tom and Jeri Johnson, Matt and Jane Stone, Shelly Dutilly (Terry Hurley), Roger Dutilly, Dean and Wendy Potvin, Ike Vick, Jerry Roatch, Bob and Donna DeLambert; many cousins, and Friend, Jenni Banger.
She is preceded in death by her Grandparents, Glenn and Madie Ritchie, Bob and Donna Johnson, and Curtiss Vick; Uncle, Reggie Levy, and Aunt, Tammy Levy.
The family of Amber would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation for the many years of friendship and care provided by Endeavors Adult Center and various medical staff members of Wisconsin and Minnesota.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 27th at Trinity Lutheran Church in McKinley, WI. Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM with a 1 hour visitation prior to the service. In honor of Amber, we encourage attendees to wear her favorite colors of blue, purple, or pink.
