Allen Bruce “Al” Peterson, 77, of Almena died, May 24, 2021 at Care and Rehab-Cumberland.

He was born May 3, 1944, in Chetek, WI to Raider and Mary (Gilbertson) Peterson.

He was married in Barronet, WI on June 6, 1964, to Shirley Dahl.

Al loved his life as an over the road truck driver; often taking Shirley and their children along when he could. He enjoyed going fishing, camping and going to flea markets. There was always a new tool to be found. Al never got tired of being on the road, he was always happy to jump in the car and go.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Peterson; daughter, Paula (Tim) Dennis; son, Dan (Siri) Peterson; six grandchildren: Joe, Hannah, Nick, Alyssa, Pete, and RandiLee; brother, Rodney (Darlene) Peterson; and many other family and friends. Al was preceded in death by his parents, Raider and Mary Peterson; brothers: Don, Jerry, Irvin, and Larry Peterson.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, May 27, 2021, at Skinner Funeral Home in Cumberland with Pastor Tim Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Cumberland. Visitation will be for one hour before the service.
